Seeds of Hope of Tennessee

Sucess Stories

Pam, 65

I was in recovery from alcohol addiction and homelessness. I called Seeds of Hope, and Tina welcomed me with an open heart, a hot meal, a hot shower, and a clean, warm, and safe place to rest. In the morning, I was greeted with hot coffee and prayer. I felt hopeful for my future for the first time in many months. I now have a job and prospects for a home of my own!

Seeds of Hope has provided a sense of security in a chaotic world. Tina’s heart shines through in every area of her ministry. I am so grateful for her because her experiences are relatable and bring peace to us who have nothing.

Seeds of Hope has given me a whole different point of view and outlook on life. It’s given me that sense of a family oriented life that I’ve always yearned for ever since I was always a little girl. It gives me a sense of peace and serenity and makes me want to do and go so much farther in life and gives me so much inspiration and motivation that makes me feel like I serve a purpose on this earth, like every single human being deserves to know your self-worth! Know your worth every day!

I was in an abusive relationship, and after taking enough abuse, I found myself in a domestic violence shelter. While in this shelter, I followed all the rules, did what I was supposed to do. I got a job and was only working for 5 days and was told that my time was up at this shelter. I was going to be put out in the cold in my car and lose my job. I had nowhere to go. I called Seeds of Hope and explained my situation and was immediately told that I was welcome to come to their shelter. Seeds of Hope was a God send to me. I am so blessed to be here. I’m safe and warm and so happy. God bless Seeds of Hope!!

I was released from prison and doing 39 1/2 years. I went to a halfway house and graduated there, but was not ready to be on my own. I heard about Ms. Tina at Seeds of Hope. After meeting her, we wrote an action plan together, and I was able to get my own place. I work a full-time job, and with the assistance of Seeds of Hope, I am not living in an apartment of my very own. Ms. Tina never looked down on me for being homeless or my past. I highly recommend Seeds of Hope of TN. God Bless you.

Lenzy
Lenzy came to the shelter in April 2018 after being raped while staying in an abandoned home. She never expected to be homeless, but life happened. Seeds of Hope of TN offered Lenzy a safe place to rest at the shelter and assisted her with
finding permanent housing. Today, Lenzy is self-supporting, works full time, has purchased a vehicle, and is in the process of purchasing her first home, all while caring for her baby girl, who was born drug-free.

I just want to express my thanks to Seeds of Hope of TN. I was released from prison on June 29, 2020. Since that time, Tina has been a blessing in working with me on getting a good job with Murphy Constructions building houses. In 1995, I lost my driver’s license due to an accident. Seeds of Hope has assisted and helped me where I didn’t have to hire an attorney. I am now waiting for a release letter that will help get my driver’s license back. This ministry has been a true blessing and continues to give other people like me hope as we transition back into society.
By not treating me as a lesser person, they have restored my confidence in people -some still do care. God Bless and thank you, Seeds of Hope of TN.
